Technology Development Fund

To accommodate projects at different stages of development, the Technology Development Fund at Children's Hospital Boston offers two distinct funding opportunities:

• The Proof of Concept Grant (POCG) to validate early stage projects with clear commercial potential.
• The Technology Development Grant (TDG) to advance later stage projects, after the original concept has been validated.

Both awards have a competitive two-step application process comprising an initial review by TIDO staff and a final review and selection by an external advisory board of industry experts. Approximately 70 percent of the award will be spent through outside contract research organizations (CROs) who will work with the principal investigator and TIDO to further develop the technology.
