Technology Development Partners

TIDO has successfully used and continues to use a variety of resources to advance the development stage of Children's Hospital Boston technologies.

  • Advisory Board (.pdf)
  • Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and Development Partners:

Past grants have allowed Children's Hospital to work with engineering firms and CROs to advance technologies. With the launch of the Children's Hospital's Technology Development Fund, TIDO will expand its network of CRO partners and seek collaborators for a wide range of product development services.
  • In addition to TIDO's internal fund, we have used the following funding sources:
    • The Massachusetts Technology Transfer Center (MTTC) has provided $25,000-$40,000 grants to build medical device prototypes and to develop Elisa tests for Children's Hospital investigators. More information about the MTTC grant program can be found at http://www.mattcenter.org.
    • The Center for Integration of Medicine and Innovative Technology (CIMIT) has funded a number of Children's Hospital medical device technologies. As of January 2009, Children's Hospital is a member of the CIMIT consortium and Children's Hospital investigators interested in applying for a CIMIT grant are encouraged to contact the Children's Hospital site miner at http://www.cimit.org/index.html.
    • The NIH and DoD SBIR/STTR programs are accessed through collaborations with corporate partners, such as Foster-Miller Inc. and Infoscitex Corporation.

TIDO invites inquiries for partnerships and collaborations. Interested parties can contact Monique Yoakim-Turk, Ph.D. Technology Development Manager at technology.development@childrens.harvard.edu
